Hi everyone.
It’s been a long time since my last update.
During the pandemic I was at home all the time. I only went out if I needed to do the grocery shopping. It’s kind of frustrating because I’ve been staying at home for almost the whole year without any vacation or even just to go out to the movie or to the restaurant.
I’ve been crafting a lot at home. Besides doing some design team projects I also created some projects for my studio.
One of the projects I made is a rainbow mobilé.
If you are following me on Instagram, you know that I love rainbow theme items,
so this is the perfect one to make my studio prettier.
I was inspired by the makrame rainbows that I’ve seen a lot lately on social media.
I also found a step by step tutorial on how to create it in the DIY booklet
from Sostrene Grene.
Since I still have lots of yarns in my stash, I’ve decided to make my own version of the rainbow makrame
I’ve got the mobilé hanger from Sostrene Grene. I bought it a while ago and haven’t got the chance to use it. so I think this is the best way to use it.
It took a while to create every single piece of the rainbows.
It was a long term project for me because I didn’t have much time for a private project,
since I've got some DT assignments to finish.
To make the rainbow stripes I wrapped the white plush yarn with the cotton pastel yarns.
After I had done all the stripes, I glued all the pieces together using a hot glue gun.
That’s it.
Hope you like this project. Thank you so much for stopping by and see you next time.
