Today I'm sharing a different scrapbook project than usual.
It's not a mini album or a layout but it's a paper Traveler's Notebook cover that I made using the specialty paper from Shimelle's collection "Head in the clouds".
When I opened the packaging of the specialty paper I was surprise that it's not a thick gold foiled cardstock but it's a velvet cardstock. I was so speechless. At first I didn't have an idea what I'm going to do with it. It's just too pretty to just use it on a layout or for a mini album that I will not touch it regularly. I thought of making something that I can use over and over again with it.
So I've decided to make a Traveler's Notebook cover out of it.
Here's how it looks.
Just a little note: This is not my first paper Traveler's notebook. I've done it twice with just some regular patterned papers and they are really sturdy.
One thing that I really like about this paper is that for this purpose I don't have to laminate it or put foil on it, to make the the paper sturdy. I could just go and started.
Because the paper is quite thick.
On the picture below you can see the charm I made.
That little shooting star is made out of polymer clay. It's one of my first DIY polymer clay character.
This unicorn charm was one of the chipboard stickers from the same collection. I stuck it on a patterned paper and then cut it out. Then I punched a hole using my Crop A Dile and put the ring through the hole and added the clasp closer to the ring.
This is the top view of my TN.
I also made the inserts for this TN cover, the pocket folder and the notebook using the left over papers from this collection.
Well, this is my last project with the "Head in the clouds" collection.
